We find Apostle Paul continuing to establish the law in Romans 3:31. He said,
31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.
We now
live by the law, because we know it is God's will for us, and we see also the fulfillment of the early prophets concerning the Lord in Luke 2:11.
Luke 2:11
11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
John 14:6
6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (So the law cannot save us, only Jesus.)
All was accomplished in the 7th day.
Hebrews 10:16-17
16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,"
17 then He adds, "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."
I Corinthians 15:49
49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.
Colossians 1:27
27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
King David prophesied concerning this generation in Psalm 102:18.
18 This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may praise the LORD.
Judaism says it this way: Genesis 12:3
3 I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."
Christianity says it this way: Revelation 22:2
2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life (Jesus), which bore twelve fruits (new Israel), each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves (those that make up His Bride) of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Genesis 17:7
7 And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.
II Corinthians 5:19
19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Hosea 6:6 says it well:
6 For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
Judaism prophesied this in Daniel 12:1.
1 "At that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book.
Christianity said it this way in Revelation 20:1-2.
1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;
In closing, when God said, "behold, I make all things new" in Revelation 21:5, He
started with the 8th day people. A new cycle begins.
His laws and commandments are recognized and being established. The
full stature of Christ is coming together through
His family, and through them, He will
build the culture of the Kingdom. His economy, His government, His knowledge will be manifested and
established on earth. All will be reversed, renewed, refurbished, recreated if need be, and the old will be burned, destroyed and certainly not missed! All is sure, because God Himself made the covenant not only with Abraham, but His descendants!
Galatians 3:29 tells us,
29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Genesis 22:17 says,
17 blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies.
