Understanding Praise

If we want victory in a supernatural battle, God and His heavenly army must help us. Psalm 22:3 in the New King James tells us God enthrones the praises of His people, meaning His presence will manifest in our environment as we praise Him, and He will take up residence in our lives. The Old King James version of the Bible says God inhabits the praises of Israel. The word inhabit in Hebrew means to "sit down, remain, to settle, to marry"! So God abides with us, comes as a partner, a husband to us as we sing praises to Him.
Psalm 102:18 tells us there is a generation of people that were not yet created in David's time, that would be a different kind, a different seed, than the previous creation, ones that would be created specifically to praise.
Psalm 102:18
18 This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may praise the LORD.
Praising is to be their occupation, their job, their part in re-establishing God's Kingdom to the earth. They are heaven's contact with earth. God sings through them to create the new, and defeat the old, to bring love and peace to His people, and sudden destruction to His enemies. They are vessels He prophesies or speaks His desires for this planet through.
Jesus says in Hebrews 2:12
12 saying: " I will declare Your name to My brethren; in the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You." (This is the song of the Lord. How does Jesus sing? Obviously through a human vessel.)
Joel 3:16
16 The LORD also will roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; The heavens and earth will shake; but the LORD will be a shelter for His people, and the strength of the children of Israel. (The Lord roars against His enemies through warfare praise.)
Zephaniah 3:17
17 The LORD your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." (Once more, how does He sing? Through His praisers.)
Again, God's praise warriors are the point of contact between the heavens, paradise and earth. As they praise from the heavenlies and we praise from here, we all become one with God. Let us look at:
Psalm 148:1-5
1 Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights!
2 Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts!
3 Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light!
4 Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, and you waters above the heavens!
5 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He commanded and they were created.
All of the universe is combined, or joins, into our praise! Now here we are as His praisers in Psalm 149.
Psalm 149:1-3
1 Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, and His praise in the assembly of saints. (not hymns, not previously written music, but spontaneous praise)
2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. (rejoice in Hebrew means to spin around and shout)
3 Let them praise His name with the dance; let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp. (This is nothing like the old church acts! If this is how we get victory, no wonder they walked in such defeat.)
Psalm 149:6-9
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, (In other words, sing truth to the wind, prophesy to the wind as in Ezekiel 37.)
7 To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; (Stamp out their false doctrines, and the lies of the tree of good and evil. Punish lawlessness.)
8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; (pull down the rulers of darkness, loose them from God's people and His plans, and bind them in the pit of hell)
9 To execute on them the written judgment - This honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD!
The victory over this world and its ruler was won before the foundation of the earth. We are to praise it into being. In other words, things already accomplished in the supernatural that to us are invisible, will become visible at the point of contact between praise and God. As He sings through us, His breath, with His life in it, brings life into dead situations and even creates new where necessary. Thus, a new heaven and a new earth is literally being sung into being. To be a part of this contact point we must be in total harmony with truth and God's thoughts on the design of the new project. His idea of government, education, economy and worship must be understood and agreed on. There can be no hypocrisy. We must therefore unitedly worship Him in spirit, and in truth, for the contact to spark life. This means truly separating in our hearts from this world that came into being through Satan's thoughts, compliments of Eve. The whole contact point must be clean, made perfect through the blood of the Lamb and washed in the Word to touch or make a good connection with our Holy God. The Lord has tried to help us make this connection as He warned us to not touch anything unclean, to be holy as He is holy and lift up the sacrifice of praise. There is a very exciting thing that can happen as our spirits come together in one accord, to sing with the legions of God's angels and the great cloud of witnesses that surround us from paradise. When we all unitedly make that perfect connection to God, what a tremendous power surge! What changes it can bring!
The scriptures allude to God's voice sounding like a trumpet.
Revelation 1:10
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet,
Revelation 4:1
1 After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this."
Now let us turn to I Corinthians 15:51-52 and apply alternate definitions as described in the Strongs Concordance in the Greek dictionary.
I Corinthians 15:51-52
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep (or die), but we shall all be changed - (made different, something else)
52 in a moment (in the splitting of an atom), in the twinkling of an eye (at the strike of the open palm, eyes will be made wide open), at the last (final) trumpet (reverberation of God's voice). For the trumpet (song of the Lord) will sound (vibrate or agitate), and the dead will be raised incorruptible (undecaying, unending existence), and we shall be changed (made different, something else).
As the two realms, heaven and earth, become one at this point of contact, a new life force will be released into those that form this point. They will be changed to the image of Jesus.
I Corinthians 15:49
49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust (Adam), we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man (Jesus).
In His image, these are created to praise not control, though dominion will be given them. They are ones that love God and keep His commandments, yet no law, physical or supernatural, can hinder them. These are 100% for the Kingdom of God, and the Kingdom of God is 100% for them.
Romans 8:29-30 explains:
29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son (no longer will we walk in bondage to the world or in the knowledge of good and evil, but as He is, as the Word), that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called (for this end time); whom He called, these He also justified (through His blood); and whom He justified, these He also glorified (or made incorruptible).
I Peter 1:23 says it this way:
I Peter 1:23
23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,
Romans 8:19 and 21 tells the rest of the story.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons (Strongs Concordance says children) of God.
21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
I Corinthians 15:54 proclaims the final victory.
54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."
So in closing, while praising the Lord, with the cosmic chorus reverberating throughout the universe, there will come a moment when that perfect contact is made, and we are changed. At last the manifested children of God will appear, and all will be restored. Is this not reason to want to praise, to dance, to clap, rejoice and shout, "let everything that has breath, Praise the Lord!"
