The mighty tribe of Judah God made visible to all:
He commanded them to keep the feasts, and to closely hold the law.
Through their prophets we can trace the birth of Christ: the time, the place.
And when He'd come He'd preach to them:
His chosen tribe, His special friends.

CHORUS:

But they would not believe, and they could not receive:
Oh Jerusalem, city of peace, you are lost without the cross.

The scepter was removed from them the day that Shiloh came.
The prophecies had all come true, and the time had come to change.
Too many times they'd bowed to Baal, but the blood of Christ could cleanse them all.
But only one can wear the crown, so Judah, lay your scepter down.

CHORUS:

But they would not believe, and they would not receive:
Oh Jerusalem, city of peace, you are lost without the cross.
